Donna Andersen is an expert on sociopaths in relationships. She is author of Lovefraud.com, a website and blog that teaches people how to recognize and recover from sociopaths.

Donna starred in the premiere episode of Who the Bleep Did I Marry? on Investigation Discovery. She also appeared on several other television shows, including ABC News 20/20, My Life is a Lifetime Movie, Handsome Devils, The Ricki Lake Show and Urban Legends. She has been interviewed for multiple radio shows, print articles and web posts. She is a freelance writer for Mail Online US, the US edition of the Daily Mail (UK) news website.

Donna has collected more than 5,000 cases of people caught in these destructive relationships and has conducted three Internet surveys. Based on her personal experience with a sociopath, her conversations with other victims and the data she collected, she has written three books:
Red Flags of Love Fraud — 10 signs you're dating a sociopath
This self-help book explains the traits and characteristics of a sociopath — a social predator. It includes hundreds of short examples from other people who were targeted. You'll learn how you were hooked, how to escape, and how to keep yourself safe. More info.

Love Fraud — How marriage to a sociopath fulfilled my spiritual plan
Donna Andersen describes her personal entanglement with a sociopath in this rich, gripping true story. If you've dated or married a social predator, this book validates your experience. More importantly, Love Fraud helps you understand why the turmoil came into your life. More info.

Donna learned about sociopaths the hard way—by marrying one. James Alwyn Montgomery, originally of Sydney, Australia, met her and quickly proposed in 1996. In two and a half years, Montgomery defrauded her of $227,000, cheated on her with at least six different women, fathered a child with one of them, and then, 10 days after Donna left him, married the mother of the child. It was the second time he committed bigamy.

Donna’s mission now is educating people about sociopaths—and no, they are not all deranged serial killers. Experts estimate that there may be up to 37 million exploiters in the United States — people who would be diagnosed as sociopaths, psychopaths, narcissists or borderline. Most of them are not in jail.

Donna launched her website, Lovefraud.com, in 2005, which now averages more than 100,000 visits a month. Readers consider it the most helpful source on the Internet for information about sociopaths. The Lovefraud Blog has evolved into a healing community for those who have been targeted by these human predators. She speaks to high school and college students. And, she offers personal consultations via phone and Skype.

Donna has remarried and her new husband totally supports the Lovefraud mission.
