Heather Haslem MS


Since 2007, Heather has been living her purpose – to support people to age well across their lifespan. This has taken her career in several different directions. She has been a Wellness Director at the Sanford Center for Aging, Director of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, and most recently hosts a podcast and writes a blog for the Center for Application Substance Abuse Technologies at the University of Nevada Reno. In addition, she is a Coach Mentor for the Chopra Certification Program, and has a private coaching practice.

Heather describes herself as a life-long learner. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Nevada, Reno, in Psychology and Human Development & Family Studies, with an emphasis in Gerontology. She is a Duke University-trained Integrative Health Coach, a National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), and a Certified Wellness Professional. In addition, Heather is Certified in Mind-Body Medicine, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and Yoga.

Heather’s coaching practice integrates mind-body techniques with coaching to support the client to connect to their own inner wisdom by creating a safe space for them to explore how their life experiences have led them to where they are today, and how the choices they make today will impact their future older self.

With over a decade of experience in building programs that enhance whole-person well-being, she is dedicated to supporting people, organizations, and communities in creating a culture that supports whole-person well-being.
