Penelope Vernet

Penelope Vernet is a devotee of Omraam Mikhael Aiavanhov. For most of her life, Penelope has looked for a deep and meaningful spiritual teaching and path. While searching, she has worked at various times in education, as an editor, and as the owner of a bookstore devoted to health and well-being.

In 1991, at the end of a five-year stay in France with her family, she discovered the teaching of Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov. A book -- Christmas and Easter in the Initiatic Tradition -- was put in her hands, and she knew at once that this was her path. Since the Master had departed this earth in 1986, she never had an occasion to meet him, but she has been fortunate enough to visit his beautiful school in the south of France a number of times.

Once back in the U.S. she discovered the wonderful brotherhood center in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada, and began to attend gatherings there regularly. Wanting to be useful in some way to the organization, she soon found herself editor for the translator Violet Nevile, who had been chosen by the Master himself to translate his books into English. Following on the translator's retirement, Penelope has had the great privilege of editing or translating various editions of the Daily Meditations, books from the Izvor Collection and works about the Master and his teaching by author and biographer Louise-Marie Frenette. Penelope lives in Exeter, New Hampshire.
